RUGBY TUSC CHALLENGES LOCAL TORY MP OVER HIS SUPPORT FOR WELFARE REFORM BILL

Rugby TUSC wrote to Mark Pawsey MP asking him to explain and defend his decision to back a Welfare Reform Bill that attacks the poor.  He has not replied.  However, the Media release TUSC issued at the same time was taken up by the local Rugby Advertiser last week (February 16th) under the heading "MP under fire for backing a bill that attacks the poor".  TUSC spokesperson Pete McLaren was quoted as describing the Bill as a serious attack on the vulnerable, and that the only reason for these changes was to save money, but the poor, disabled and vulnerable did not cause the financial crisis.  TUSC got a number of mentions
